Installing Ceramic Electric Wall Plates

Switchplates fit standard electric boxes. Each switch plate cover comes with special nylon screws. These screws are made to be gentle on the ceramic glaze. Metal screws could scratch the ceramic plate or be overtightened. So, the provided screws make installation a snap. All you need is a small screwdriver. The ceramic switch covers are slightly larger larger and thicker than the plastic covers most contractors install. One benefit is they cover a slighly larger area aroundf the switch box. One caution- if you try to place two ceramic covers side by side, they may not fit.
