Rick Satavais a master glassblower living in Chico, California. Satava employs ancient techniques in order to create his original hand blown glass paperweights. He was educated at the College of San Mateo and California State University, Chico. In 1977, he opened Satava Glass Studio. Well known for his vivid colors and designs mimicking the beauty of nature, Satava's works are included in numerous public and private collections throughout the world. As a glass artist, one of Rick Satava's special skills is working fine glass threads into glass paintings.
