Join us for some shopping in Stowe, Vermont. Stowe village is truly unusual - No franchises, no absentee owners, instead you will discover over 30 family run stores. We welcome you to our town of independent stores where local shopping has always been part of Stowe. Our retail shops are mixed in with Inns, Restaurants, and Coffee houses. It's perfect for exploring and browsing.

So park behind the Church on Main Street, behind the Green Mountain Inn or in any of the small parking areas maintained by the stores. You will find parking is convenient and lines are short (or none) on most days in Stowe. There are no big parking lots, so you won't be trying to remember which row and section your car is in.

 

Retail shopping is on both sides of our Main Street which is also known as Route 100. You will find more shopping along the Mountain Road, or Route 108. Mountain Road forms a "T" with Main Main Street.

 

 

Shopping in Locally Owned Stores

All the stores are individually owned and operated by local shopkeepers. They have pride in their stores. They appreciate your patronage.

 

What you will not find is the same displays of the same merchandise that you see in the chain store clones found in every "major shopping area". The products stocked in Stowe stores are selected by local owners. Their decisions are based on their individual passions, seeing what local shoppers are interested in and what you- their customer - tells them.
