Gemstone & Gold Designs

Khalsa designs jewelry with sterling silver, gold and stunning one of a kind gemstones. Many of her gemstones are "Rose Cut". Any gem that is cut in this style features a flat bottom with a dome-shaped crown, rising to a single apex. The gem when it is cut this way will have anywhere from 3 to 24 facets. The reason it is call a "Rose Cut" is because it resembles the shape of a rose bud. The rose cut dates back to over 400 years and here is Ananda Khalsa in 2016 giving it an amazing new "must see" look!

Miniature painting style Jewelry

Tiny watercolors- each hand painted- set under glass. Ananda starts by creating an original painting using acrylic paints on watercolor paper. These are teeny tiny paintings and take great care and need for attention. After the painting is finished, Ananda sets the painting behind hand ground glass and backs them with 22k gold or sterling silver. Much of her jewelry is accented with semiprecious stones and/or high karat gold.

The images Ananda Khalsa paints inspired by plants and animals rich with symbolism and folklore. While Ananda tells us what the painting means to her, she say she loves how pieces of her jewelry add new and personal meanings as they are given as a gift or worn.
