This open edition Sabra Field print is a classic! An old red school house is shown in the foreground of this print looking down onto the little Vermont town of Tunbridge. A white steeple church, other buildings, and freshly mowed grass are perfectly depicted. Hills of bursting green trees and blue bird skies stretch out along the background.

On Sabra's website she talks more historical details about this scene for us. She says, "In Tunbridge, one can easily observe the Vermont tradition of open space surrounding town centers. This small village, home of the Tunbridge World's Fair, is surrounded by hills and set on a rise overlooking the fairgrounds and hay fields. It includes the very first school in town, the 1810 brick building on the left. On a green and golden day one September, Euclid 'Mr. Tunbridge' Farnham and farmer Wendy Palthey helped me make my selection from among the many old one-room school houses still standing. Walk into the scene and you are moving from past to present."

This is an archival pigment print and an open edition. First created in 2011.

This print is available framed. It can also be ordered as a print via special order. Contact us if you would be interested in learning more about our framing process.
