Known for his incredible Vermont photography, Jon Olsen has been a staple at Stowe Craft Gallery for years. From large framed prints, to his single smaller sized beautifully matted photographs, what he captures behind his lens is truly remarkable.
Over the years, Jon has explored many different forms of photography such as black and white, color, different formats, films and printing processing. But, recently Jon has made the transition to a process of digital recording, processing and printing. Stowe Craft Gallery is excited to start a new series of artist features in 2018. To start things off, we are featuring Vermont jewelry artist Jen Kahn. Since bringing Jen’s work to the gallery in 2013, she has gained a huge following. Now a days it’s hard not to spot Jen Kahn’s jewelry being donned by a few lovely ladies out and about in Vermont. But that’s not a surprise to us at Stowe Craft Gallery! Jen’s pieces are so effortlessly cool and can be worn everyday. Our customer’s aren’t the only ones who love her work though, our entire staff at one time owned Jen’s Verdigris Sweet Lady Jane Earrings. Ananda Khalsa Jewelry Bluebird PaintingIf you have visited us at Stowe Craft Gallery I am sure that you have noticed the vibrant display of Ananda Khalsa Jewelry with teeny tiny paintings in them. Ananda starts by creating an original painting using acrylic paints on watercolor paper. These are teeny tiny paintings and take great care and need for attention. After the painting is finished, Ananda sets the painting behind hand ground glass and backs them with 22k gold or sterling silver. Much of her jewelry is accented with semiprecious stones and/or high karat gold. (more…)
