Vermont – home to The Green Mountains, copious amounts of maple syrup & craft beer and provider of so much inspiration for many of our Vermont based artists. We pride ourselves in carrying as many local Vermont artists as we can. The uniqueness in materials, vision and presentation of each piece is unparalleled. We can’t think of many things better than receiving a handmade gift from Vermont. We may be biased though. Below we created a Vermont handmade holiday giving guide for your viewing pleasure.

– Randy Adams Wire Tree Sculptures

Randy Adams Wire Tree Sculpture

Randy Adams Wire Tree Sculpture

For nearly 30 years, Randy and his wife Barb have been creating wire tree sculpture art. Each piece is crafted by hand, one wire at a time. He creates both table tree sculptures, as well as trees that can be hung from the wall. They come in several different wire materials; including aluminum, copper, and patinaed copper, which has a darkened copper appearance. They also come in two different designs; Maple or Windblown. The Maple design looks like a regular maple tree with outreached tree limbs and roots. The Windblown design looks like the aged, windswept trees of New Zealand. The limbs have been permanently swept to one side as the wind always blows strongly in the same direction. Each tree has it’s own character and is unique. We think Randy Adam’s tree would make a great gift for the art lover in your life.

Cobble Mountain Hammock Chair

Cobble Mountain Hammock Chair

– Cobble Mountain Hammock Chairs

Our customers and staff alike have cherished their time relaxing on our back deck in our Cobble Mountain Hammock Chairs over looking the Little River. Cobble Mountain’s sturdy chairs are built to withstand the harsh climate of Vermont (but we would recommend you take them in for the winter if they are not under cover) with sturdy local oak. The hammock chair seats are hand woven with soft, durable and weather resistant white cotton/polyester blend rope. They are truly unique and unsurpassed in comfort and versatility. Here in Stowe, Vermont we had a famous snow shoe factory, Vermont Tubbs. The steamed and curved, handmade oak frame the Kittridges make for their Cobble Mountain Hammocks may remind you of how those famous snowshoes looked. We love the Double Hammock Chair for cuddling with your loved one and the Summit Hammock Chair for stretching out on your own. We also offer stands for both the double and single if you don’t have anywhere to hang these amazing hammocks.

– Tabbatha Henry Porcelain Votives, Luminaries and Lanterns

Handmade right down the road in Waterbury, Vermont, Tabbatha Henry creates delicate porcelain votives, luminaries and lanterns. Her designs are inspired from the natural beauty that Vermont has to offer right outside her studio window. Each piece is crafted with care and we love decorating our homes in the darker winter months with these warm glowing pieces. Her starry sky design has long been a staff and customer favorite while her mountain design has quickly become a best seller this season.

– ZPots Pottery by Noelle & Erik Van Henrick

Zpots Pottery

Zpots Pottery

Noelle writes her original poetry on the pottery. Eric and Noelle both design and create all the pieces together, by hand. Their process is solid. They have such strength as craftspeople and extraordinary vision as artists. They are an earthly partnership and collaboration that reaches for heavens and brings it home and here. They come out with new cups every year – we love their Seasons Mug, Love Cup, Light Cup and Hope Cup.

– Vermont Granite Trivet Cheese Board

Vermont Granite Board

Vermont Granite Board

Handmade in Vermont, each board is made completely out of re-purposed Vermont granite. Artfully hand chiseled from recycled and upcycled Vermont granite that would have ended up in our landfills. This is a counter top piece that can be used for cheese or a cutting board, a display piece for serving or a trivet. To clean, simply wipe but do not immerse in water or plane in a dishwasher. Rub with mineral oil to restore beauty and luster. Can be placed in a fridge to be chilled before serving to preserve food’s temperature.
