Dennis French Summerproof Designs
Vermont artist Dennis French creates original, nostalgic Stowe mountain themed folk art. The iconic Stowe gondolas, lift lines and classic ski signs that hang in our gallery are all made in Vermont!
Stowe Gondola & Ski Signs
Dennis and his wife Sasha French are the dynamic duo behind the Stowe Gondolas and Ski Signs we display. They work out of their Waterville, Vermont studio to create the unique and nostalgic 3D wood wall art. A lot of their inspiration is drawn from vintage alpine industrial machinery such as gondolas, chairlifts, snow groomers, trail signs and everything in between; especially those from Stowe Mountain Resort. They blend traditional painting techniques, illustration, sculpture and found objects to create an irresistible and whimsical folk art style.
Dennis is a Vermont artist we recently found at a local art show. Dennis creates scenes that represent the magic and excitement of our vibrant, Stowe skiing scene with an appreciation for utilizing recycled and salvaged materials wherever possible.
Our display is an ever changing collection of classic ski signs and colorful lift lines with puffy clouds that carry skis up the mountain. You never know what you’ll see! Right now we have a 8’ high x 4’ wide lift chair cut entirely from one piece of wood. A one-of-a-kind statement piece for your entryway or stairwell and to show some local love! We always have new artwork by Dennis hanging at the gallery, so please contact us if you’d like us to send you current photos.
