Petite, bright and sunny! The California Poppy is a perennial and annual plant, native to the United States and has its own special day: the 6th of April is designated as California Poppy Day. Its leaves were used medicinally by Native Americans and the pollen was used cosmetically. The seeds are used in cooking.
