Randy Adams | Black Aluminum Wall Hanging Wire Tree Sculpture
Black aluminum twisted wire tree sculpture by Vermont artist Randy Adams. Each of Randy’s wire sculptures are wrapped and twisted by hand. This tree sculpture is made with a black aluminum wire which is very eye-catching when placed in a bright environment. The contrast created by this sculpture makes it a very attractive centerpiece with a strong presence.
The windblown style is inspired from Randy’s time on the coast of Newfoundland in Eastern Canada. Trees there adapt to Newfoundland’s strong, omni-directional, coastal winds by bending permanently with the wind. Randy’s windblown tree sculptures encapsulate this natural phenomenon.
This wire tree sculpture is built with a small loop in the tree’s trunk to make hanging on a hook extremely simple.
