Basement Bathroom Ideas
This bathroom is part of a basement area turned into a guest area at a summer lake house.
The home is quite close to a large lake. The master guest bathroom needed flooring designed to survive moisture not just from regular bathroom use and occasional minor floods. One of my favorite surfaces to use is recycled rubber. It's environmentally safe and it takes incredible abuse and still looks good. My client also wanted to keep the costs down with the tile. I used a very basic clean white tile and put in a few splashes of color. These interior design ideas have proven to be great long term solutions to the water and dampness isssue here.
The door to the bathroom opened almost directly in front of the toilet. To lessen this privacy issue, I put up a little wall. The wall panel allows light through it but natural twigs embedded in the glass throughly diffuse light
