Mixed Old + New Bathroom Ideas
In this old farmhouse bathroom renovation I wanted the look and feel of an old farmhouse. I also wanted some cool new materials. I used a family hand me down bureau from my childhood as a vanity. It wasn't a valuable antique but it had a lot of personal history for me. The drawers were reconfigured and cut to accommodate the plumbing. It it turned out to be perfect for all bathroom storage including towels.The mirror was handcrafted by a husband and wife team. The sconces were handmade by a different artist. You may notice several different metal finishes in the above photos. I intentionally am trying to achieve a mismatched feel- so it seems to have evolved over time.
