Jeanne Amato | Morning Light - Limited Edition Woodcut Print
Morning Light is a limited edition woodcut print by Jeanne Amato, a long time apprentice and studio assistant of Sabra Field. You can see the parallels between their Vermont inspired work fairly easily. It shows a snowy hill with bare hardwood trees. Blue bird skies peak out in the background. This scene reminds us of the hill you scale while walking up to the Four Runner Quad lift at Stowe Mountain Resort. It is a high contrast print featuring snowy hills with bare hardwood trees. The snowy landscape of this print is extremely detailed, numerous shadows are created from the natural hills and valleys of the snow. The high contrast of this print captures a lot of attention in dark, cozy atmospheres.
"As I drove our children to school I passed by this scene many winter mornings and finally captured the silhouetted trees against the morning sky in this woodcut." ~ Jeanne Amato
